Hi, my name is Regina and I am an addict. An addict to oatmeal, that is.

Yes, this is serious. I have been waking up the past few days and even on weekends (!) craving for a bowl of chocolate oatmeal!!! My own mum doesn't even like oatmeal!!!

Okay, at least it's healthy...right? Alright, alright, except for the amount of cocoa powder added to it *sheepish*

Bloody hell...according to the weather forecast, it's going to be as low as -6 degC in both Beijing and Tianjin later this week. AND I'm PROBABLY going to be in both places some time within these 2 months!!! I don't know about you, but I'm filled with the need to swear and kinda freaked out at the prospect of being in subzero degree weather!

But first, Edinburgh next weekend - I also need to replace my trusty red and white brolly that the Danish wind ate up earlier this up :(

I came home in the morning
And everything was gone
Oh what have I done
I dropped dead in the hallway
Cursing the dawn
Oh come on sun
Why must I burn
I’m just trying to learn

I stared into the light
To kill some of my pain
It was all in vain
Cause no senses remain
But an ache in my body
And regret on my mind
But I’ll be fine

Cause I live and I learn
Yes I live and I learn
If you live you will learn
I live and I learn

Got kicked in the head
So I started a fight
Cause I knew I was right
But I learned I was wrong
I remember a slaughter
I remember I fought
For the money I brought
I got blistered and burned
And lost what I earned

But I live and I learn
Yes I live and I learn

I got, I got it now
She’s got, She’s got it now

I came to on a corner
With some help from a man and goddamn
I don’t seem to have learnt
That a lady in need is guilty indeed
So I paid and got laid in return
And I don’t know what I’ve learned

Well you get what you give
And hell yes I lived
But if you live as you learn
I don’t think I'd be learned
Oh with the sun in my eyes
Surprise, I’m living a life
But I don’t seem to learn
No I don’t think I can learn

It's the end of October and it really feel like it's the end of a major holiday period. Or what it feels like when you come down from a sugar rush :( Probably it's been a month too long celebration for my birthday, haha...

Can't wait to head back home. I think my bestie's got something waiting for me there too, hee...

Yeahhhh, I love presents and it's even better when I don't expect it (these days, I don't really expect to get presents anymore, I don't know why...maybe because it's much better to have the experience of a wonderful meal with like-minded close friends or family than to have something tangible). The gals surprised me with a large bottle of Chanel's Mademoiselle and a chunky silver bracelet, so touched was I that I actually teared up! It was just so unexpected and they were 2 things which I would normally like and must have cost a bomb to get! Muah, gals! Thanks a lot! ;)

Back from Roma!!!

I'm baccckkk!!! And it has been a really FANTASTIC weekend with the gals, so much so that now I'm back in my apartment and Yi's on the way to Copenhagen, I am missing the company of the gals, the laugh-a-minute days...ah...

It was really a very very good break, recharging and getting the mind off work. Of course, it helps to eat all throughout our trip, starting with the restaurant 1 junction away from our hotel. Oh....the starters of mussels and clams in clear broth (reminds me of mussels in Brussels, hee), the grilled artichokes with "smooched" (typo on the menu, haha) salmon, vegetables in filo pastry and paper-thin pear and cheese slices with walnuts and honey which were absolutely divine and outshined the main courses.

On Saturday night, we got all dressed up and were lucky that even though we couldn't go to a recommended restaurant, we scored at another restaurant with a fast-moving queue after nearly getting pissed off with the hosts at the door of another nearby. We had a big antipasti of meat and another of seafood and 1 souffle of mash potato with cheese and bacon - YUMMY!!! The laughs free flowed throughout the night from starters to mains to dessert. What a great way to cap our first day in Rome!!! :D

Sunday started off with Caro knocking on our door 15mins before my alarm went off and she was fully dressed already! I thought I had gotten the alarm all wrong again, haha...but it was only because the clock moved 1 hour behind in winter time. When we finally got some breakfast into our systems, we did lots of walking in the Vatican city after 1 and 1/2hours in the queue for the museum and ended the day doing what we have wanted to do since we got to Rome - to eat at an Italian mama restaurant. I was quite surprised that it wasn't mains of pasta that come drenched with homemade tomato sauce, instead the food was light and quite yummy in a simple way, especially good for when the company is good and the conversation flowing. But I think it was too many of us coming from different ends to have a truly engaging and fun conversation. Still, I enjoyed the meal, especially the penne with the cheese sauce which was yummiliciously cheesy, and would have ate lots lots more if I didn't think there were 5 courses, haha... After dinner drinks was another bunch of laughs and thank goodness the gals were there ;)

It has been a blast of a trip, especially for my birthday! Thanks, gals, for EVERYTHING! Muah! :*

What a start of a celebratory weekend

First it was a later than expected dash to the train station to get
the ticket to the airport, no time to take any of the train timetable
& route cos the train was already at the platform, then I remembered
the wrong station to get off (how typical, yea yea *rolls eyes*) and
that's the only connection to the airport via that route with the next
one reaching the airport 10mins after my flight takes off. Great. So
now I have to cab there for, what, probably 1000+dkk (about 300sgd!).
It's be just fantastic if I cannot find a cab when I get to the
terminal train station -.-
